Objective of the Course:
The objective of this course is to provide information about basic concepts, theories and application areas of Learning Psychology to the students of Sociology department. In addition, to provide information about how to use the information learned in Learning Psychology in their field.

Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
This course provides the ability to use the theoretical knowledge about the processes such as adaption, sensitization, conditioning, reinforcement schedules, etc. in academia or practice areas.

Learning Outcomes:

Can able to identify the basic concepts in learning and psychology.;

Can able to understand the basic concepts and theoretical approaches related to classical conditioning.;

Can able to understand the basic concepts and theoretical approaches related to operant conditioning.;

Can able to distinguish classical and operant conditioning from each other. ;

Can able to apply learning principles to real life situations.;

Can able to distinguish learning principles based on scientific facts from generalisms based on everyday information.;

Can able to understand the contribution of animal experiments to learning processes in humans.;
