19 Objective of the Course: The purpose of this course is to teach music, whole note, reading whole note and beat in order to help the student perform adequatly.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development It allows the candidate to decipher the scores she sees and to do solfege.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Knows the basic music terms.;
2 Knows the notes between c and g on the clef. ;
3 Can perform the Bona reading of the notes between c and g on the clef. ;
4 Can perform the decoding of the notes between c and g on the clef;
5 Can read the solfege parts consisting of the notes between c and g on the clef. ;
6 Knows the nuance terms. ;
7 Knows the speed terms;
8 Can write the dictation between do-sol;
22 Course Content:
Week Theoretical Practical
1 Purpose of the solfege course and explaining the basic music terms
2 Drawing treble clef and starting to teach where the notes are on the staff
3 Teaching note values and number of meters
4 Performing bona reading for the solfege parts between c-g
5 Explaining the voice technique required to be used in reading solfege parts.
6 Recognizing, associating the sounds heard, starting the small-scale dictation practices
7 Preparation for the general assessment
8 General Assessment (Midterm Exam)
9 Reading practices for the solfege parts between c and g
10 Explaining the Legato and stacatto terms
11 Reading practices for the solfege parts according to their nuances
12 Reading practices for solfege parts according to their speed terms
13 Dictation exercise with the sounds between c and g
14 Repetition of the studies within the term
