19 Objective of the Course: The objective of the course is to gain the knowledge and ability to analyze quantitative data using qualitative analysis software such as NVivo and MaxQda in religious education research.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Providing the graduates with the knowledge and skills to make qualitative analysis in possible fields of study such as teaching, religious service, and academia.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 At the completion of this course students will be able to: describe the general characteristics of qualitative analysis software used in religious education research.;
2 prepare qualitative data for analysis;
3 define the general features of NVivo and MaxQda, the qualitative analysis softwares;
4 create a new project file with NVivo and MaxQda;
5 transfer written, visual and audio data to NVivo and MaxQda;
6 code and create themes using NVivo and MaxQda;
7 create demographic data in NVivo and MaxQda;
8 perform qualitative analysis of videos with NVivo and MaxQda;
9 analyze qualitative data with NVivo and MaxQda;
10 list what kind of information the research report will cover based on qualitative data.;

1 Introduction to qualitative research in Religious Education
2 General characteristics of qualitative analysis softwares used in religious education research
3 Characteristics of qualitative data and preparation of analysis
4 NVivo as a qualitative analysis software and general features.
5 Importing of written, audiovisual data to NVivo
6 Key Concepts in NVivo: Explore the sample project
7 Coding and making nodes in NVivo
8 Working with demographic data using NVivo
9 Qualitative analysis of videos with NVivo
10 MaxQda: A Qualitative analysis software and its general features
11 Coding and making nodes in MaxQda, and working with demographic data using MaxQda
12 Qualitative analysis of videos with MaxQda
13 Quantitative analysis of data with MaxQda
