19 Objective of the Course: This course aims to increase the knowledge and skills of physical education teacher candidates regarding the applications of activities (school ceremonies, social, cultural, sportive and artistic activities, important days and weeks, etc.) outside the formal physical education course.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development The physical education teacher is one of the teachers who actively takes part in many ceremony and celebration programs of the school. In this course, the knowledge and skills of celebrating the various days and weeks that are celebrated outside of the formal program in schools and contribute to the development of the affective skills of students are increased.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Explain the concepts of formal, informal education and hidden curriculum;
2 Realizes the contribution of extracurricular activities to education.;
3 Explain the importance of the basic values ??that should be given to children.;
4 Knows value education trends.;
5 Analyze the character and value education elements within the physical education and sports lesson (5.6.7.8. Grade) outcomes.;
6 Applies the ways of gaining the elements of character and value education through non-curricular activities.;
7 Discusses the importance of extracurricular education in physical education and sports education.;
8 Knows the methods of increasing student motivation in participating in extracurricular activities.;
9 Know the stakeholder (family, school, etc.) roles in non-program activities ;
10 Collaborates with colleagues from other courses while preparing extracurricular activities.;
