Objective of the Course: |
Islamic sects generally divide up in two basic categoriesas apparent and esoteric. Alewiyyah/Bektashi tradition is formed within the esoteric tradition and is a secterian structere that has reached us by oral tradition.
The history, formation, belief system, the religious/cultural identity it formes, basic sources, its institutions and its demands in modern time is dealt with in this course.
