19 Objective of the Course: Revelation of the Quran, its expressing in writing, its memorizing, its being divided in verses and sura, its being collected as a book, making its copies for distribution, putting in it the points and its being written a wovel point above or below its letters; the stages and changes that Quranic interpretation has pass along the fourteen century, the written books and theirs writers; what means the Quranic exegesis, the details of the concepts interpretation (tafsîr), hermeneutics (ta’vîl), translation (tarjamah), meaning (maâl); the contents and their worths of the Quranic sciences like the reasons of the revelation (asbâb-i nuzûl), the abrogation (nash), the muhkam-mutashâbih, the metaphor-truth (majâz-hakikat), the extraordinariness of the Quran (i’câzu’l-Quran), kiraat etc.; the exegesis schools in the interpretation of the Quran and their methodological characteritics.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development The fact that the source of the Quran is divine is comprehended by students through this lesson. In addition, the basic information necessary for understanding this holy book will be acquired. Again, information is obtained about the different tendencies in understanding the Quran.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 The student realizes that the Quran as a divine book gives messages in universal scales. ;
2 He/she have basic information about the quality of the Quran and the different approaches, trends and schools in understanding and interpreting the Quran.;
3 He becomes aware that the Quran's absolute truth; but his comments are conditionally correct and he gains the habit of acting selectively accordingly.;
4 By gaining the ability to use vertical and horizontal examination methods together, he/she can build solid bridges between classical and modern.;
5 He/she gains the ability to transfer the high moral and spiritual values ??brought by the Quran to the modern world.;

Information There will be questions from the Tefsir Usulü and Tefsir Tarihi books and from Kur'an Yolu commentary and from the tafsir texts read in the lesson.
