19 Objective of the Course: To gain qualifications about the basic concepts of creativity and art, factors affecting creativity, what is necessary in the future of different art fields and in the preparation of creative activities.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development In this course, students; It is aimed to enable them to gain creative thinking skills by developing their creativity. In addition, it is aimed that gain the ability to plan and implement creative art activities for children.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Defines the concepts of creativity;
2 Summarize the development process of creativity;
3 Categorizes the factors affecting the development of creativity with examples;
4 Explains the relationship between creativity and art.;
5 Explain the effect of art and family on creativity.;
6 List the effects of creativity and art on children.;
7 List the points to be considered in art education;
8 It prepares creative materials suitable for children's age and development.;
9 Prepare creative materials suitable for children's age and development;
10 It makes suggestions to families to support children's creativity.;
22 Course Content:
Week Theoretical Practical
1 Informing and meeting students about the course process. Exercise 1: Until the next lesson, students are asked to watch a sunrise and a sunset, take photographs and write down what they feel.
2 Understanding creativity - Definitions of creativity, obstacles to creativity, theories about creativity. Exercise 2: On the way to the next lesson, students are asked to bring a poem they like very much and volunteer students are given the opportunity to share in a part of the lesson.
3 Creative - Creative child features, educator and family roles that support creative thinking Exercise 3: Until the next lesson, students are asked to take a landscape photo, give a name to the picture they took, and share it with classmate on next lesson.
4 Creative experiences - Examples of activities that support creativity Practice 4: When coming to the next lesson, they are asked to come with their favorite song and share in the lesson.
5 Art and the developing child - Art education and its importance, the contribution of art education to child development Exercise 5: Until the next lesson, the students are asked to hear the sound of dried leaves during a morning or evening walk and to bring their favorite dried leaves while coming to the lesson.
6 Children's artistic development - Painting studies - two and three dimensional works, setting the environment in art education Exercise 6: İn the next lesson; Students can share their favorite dance and share with their friends why. Dance figures game is played. In the play, students show a dance figure with a frozen image, and other friends try to guess dance figures.
7 Art and aesthetics - elements of art, aesthetics, sensory experiences Exercise 7: A word box is prepared. Each student randomly chooses 5 words from this box. Students are asked to write an original poem with the words they chose.
8 Early childhood arts program- art-focused projects Exercise 8: A collage is made with old newspapers and waste fabrics
9 Art activity planning, implementation and evaluation - Integration of arts with early childhood education program Exercise 9: Students are divided into groups. Each group prepares a list of materials that can be included in the art center. When preparing materials, attention should be paid to more accessible materials that will improve their creativity and aesthetic skills. In addition, groups are asked to bring art center design suggestions.
10 Art center - Art experiences with the help of technology Practice 10: What are their parents roles in art education? What can be done at home for art education? Students are asked to come to the lesson by finding answers to the question headings. They are expected to come with art activities at home and art suggestions at home. It can be planned as group work.
11 Roles, responsibilities and strategies that support children's arts skills Exercise 11: Students are expected to develop creative ideas about exhibiting art activities. It can be planned as group work.
12 Evaluation in art education Practice 12: Students are asked to make a child draw a family picture and bring it to the lesson.
13 Overview of the analysis of children's pictures - General characteristics of children's pictures, special signs in the evaluation of pictures Practice 13: Students are expected to apply the knowledge and expressions they have acquired during the course on a project concretely.
