19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course is to provide to the prospective German teachers acquire the necessary instructional and technical skills (learning and implementing material design theories, steps of material development, material design elements and principles) to develop visual, auditory and audiovisual materials for the training of receptive (reading, listening, watching), interactive/productive (speaking, writing) and cognitive (grammar, vocabulary acquisition) skills and culture transfer in German teaching.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to use contemporary digital and printed German teaching and learning materials in an effective way.;
2 To be able to analyze the current German learning materials to determine its strengths and weaknesses.;
3 To be able to evaluate, choose and use appropriate creation tools for developing language learning content.;
4 To be able to undertake adaptations to avoid the negative sides of ready made material.;
5 To be able to design and produce basic digital audio visual material for developing various language skills.;
6 To be able to design interactive materials with multi media content.;
7 To be able to design and develop digital language learning games. ;
8 To be able to guide other people to develop multimedia content for language learning.;

1 Introducing of semester program, preparing of study plan.
2 Introduction to contemporary, digital and printed German teaching materials
3 Evaluating German learning software and determine its strengths and weaknesses.
4 Assigning material design projects.
5 Introduction of the material design elements.
6 Introduction of the material design principles.
7 Discussing the material design theories.
8 Designing material to develop interactive and productive speaking/writing skills.
9 Designing text material to develop reading, vocabulary and grammar skills.
10 Designing auditory material to develop listening skill.
11 Designing film material to develop various language skills.
12 Designing audio visual materials for culture transmission.
13 Designing computer based interactive materials learning games.
