19 Objective of the Course: To ensure that preservice teachers gain awareness about the function and importance of museums, and to provide them the necessary knowledge and skills on how can one use the artworks exhibited in museums to read and interpret past cultures and civilizations?

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Defines, explains and gives examples of the basic concepts on the subject.;
2 Explains the meaning and importance of aesthetics and art as indicators of culture and civilization.;
3 Ask basic questions while examining a work of art.;
4 Analyze and evaluate the exhibits in light of certain criteria during museum visits. ;
5 Evaluates the similarities and differences between works of art from different cultures.;
6 Explains the historical and aesthetic values concretely by acting from the works in the immediate vicinity in the education of the museum. ;
7 Gains aesthetic and artistic sensitivity.;
8 Evaluates the effects of aesthetics and art on the human mind in terms of the evolution of thought and quality of life critically.;
9 Explains the relation of art with science in general and social science in particular.;
10 Prepare student guide for museum visits.;
