19 Objective of the Course: To analyse the name of Ebru etymologically. To learn the arguments and the resources in this topic. To know its developmental process and the stages it has reached since 15th century when the first examples of it was seen. To analyse its place in and after the classical Ottoman art by comparison with its current condition. To obtain the references that would offer an insight to today by seeing the color and composition order in the historical examples. To carry out Ebru with traditional methods and the material means of today.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To know where roots of the name Ebru comes from;
2 To recognize the oldest examples of Ebru that are recorded and their masters;
3 To observe the order of colors and the composition in the oldest examples of Ebru;
4 to be informed about the types of colors used in the old Ebrus;
5 To observe the place of old Ebrus in the modern works of art.;
6 to learn to use current materials in traditional methods;
7 To identify the relationship between Ebru and the other arts.;
8 To know about the problems of Ebru;
9 To detect the technical problems and solutions in the art of Ebru;
10 To take the basic education in the practices of the art of Ebru;
