General Description
Agricultural Machinery Program started education in 1993 with the name of Agricultural Machinery and Tools, under the II. Turkish Council of Higher Education (HEC) - World Bank (WB) Project, with 2 instructors and 1 expert.
When all the lectures and 30 day internship at the workplace is successfully completed, Short Cycle degree is taken in the Agricultural Machinery field of science.

The applicants should have a degree on high school, and have enough score in ÖSS.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
To obtain short cycle degree in Agricultural Machinery Program, students must achieve all of the general and elective courses (a total of 120 ETCS) which are required for the program, general weighted grade point average must be at least 2.0 on a 4.00 and must have completed a 30-day internship.

Profile of The Programme
The objective of the Agricultural Machinery Program is to provide graduates who has enough knowledge in machinery and agriculture, who is familiar with the system and equipment the applied in agricultural product pocesses, and who put his knowledge on the industrial system and equipment, who organize the working atmosphere suitably and establish a good relationship with their collegauges and follow the developing technologies.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
The technician of the Agricultural Machinery, is a technical person working between high level manager/engineer and technician, has more theoric knowledge than technician and more pratic skills than engineer. A staff who has the skills written above, may be a leader and manager of the small and medium sized managements by making collaboration with the other coworkers suitably. The career opportunuties of the graduates may be the manufacture and marketing sector of the agricultural machinery and equipment, renewable energy sources sector, agricultural manufacture sector and sector for the processing of agricultural products.

Access to Further Studies
Candidates who have successfully completed short cycle, may take undergraduate education if passed DGS (Vertical Transfer Examination) examination.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Every student must register to courses at the beginning of each semester, and must be continued theoretical courses at least 70%, applications at least 80% for to take final exam. Students for each course at least one midterm and final exam are subjected to. The midterm exam contribution (as the midterm grade homework, laboratory exams, quizzes, etc. can be evaluated in the scores obtained from measuring instruments) is 40% and the final exam contribution is 60% for the success grade. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. Final exam are required to obtain at least 50 points. Students, which have received one of the letter grade AA, BA, BB, CB and CC, are considered successful from that course. DC and DD notes are notes that are conditionally successful. For to become successful from a course which the student´s grade is DC or DD, overall weighted grade point average must be at least 2.0.
