General Description
The Automotive Program has been established in 1986 with the support by the sector in Bursa. Immediately after its establishment, the university-industry cooperation project between the Uludag University, Koc Holding AS Tofas integrated with the educational project has been put in context. Completed the technical infrastructure of the sector with extensive help and was met by the sector, especially the lack of teaching staff. Higher Education / World Bank project for industrial education faculty members sent abroad, education, and educational activities certified for the sector was initiated since 2009.
Vision of the automotive program, which it carries out education programs since 1986, according to current needs by continually innovating, both graduates and service production and post-levels in accordance with the industry expected to grow up in the philosophy of quality and provide manpower. Automotive Program undertaken by the mission, according to the needs of production and after-sales service sectors to provide training for staff and leading institutions in this direction is to cover the deficit.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Automotive Technicians, automotive factories, almost all of the main and sub-titles and responsibilities are involved can be considered for technician positions. But where there are intensive production and assembly lines of automotive technicians in number and they play an active role in the production, engineers, planners and managers in communication and liaison between the workers they provide, they served as team leader, quality circles, training on the job training as a teacher on the staff take responsibility.
In another part of production which are important to the automotive sector is services and sales outlets might be called post-sale service units and education centers. Automotive technicians in these units, they take responsibility for lean manufacturing production system and customer-focused quality mass production, sales increased even more as a result of the principles come to life. The team leader service manager, sales team leader, spare parts and service, workshop manager, staff in many areas of responsibility and duty to receive education.

Students graduated from program can transfer to Technology Faculty and Engineering Faculty by External Transfer Exam.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
At the beginning of each semester and final exam, register for classes at least 70% of the courses, applications must be continued for at least 80%. Students for each course at least one midterm and final exam are subjected to. Success grade, midterm exam (as the midterm grade homework, laboratory exams, quizzes, etc. can be evaluated in the scores obtained from measuring instruments) contributed 50% and 50% in the form of contribution to the final exam. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. Final exam are required to obtain at least 30 points. A student AA, BA, BB, CB and CC has received a letter grade, students are considered successful from that course. DC and DD notes are notes that conditionally successful. DC or DD grade in a course where the student to be successful overall weighted grade point average must be at least 2.0.
Depends on lecture requirements, assessments of lectures are done by verbal and writting examinations, projects and their presentation. 4 points scaled numerical systems in 4 semesters for graduation.

Graduation Requirements
To complete the program successfully, all of the courses available in the program (120 ETCS) to pass to obtain Weighted grade average of 4.00 should be at least 2.0.

Program support for the automotive industry, particularly TOFAŞ Co., Bosch Tic. San. Inc., Honda, Karsan, Inc. and other institutions are continuing. Currently, a permanent faculty member in the program includes 4 lecturers. Automotive Program is running a number of laboratories and the latest model with cross-sectional means the engine is electronically controlled.
