General Description
Veterinary medicine is a multidimensional profession requiring knowledge and skills about animal health in particular, as well as animal breeding, husbandry, animal-originated food, environmental health, production of feed stuff, and production of biological materials.
Education at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is five years and given as a single program. Since 2003-2004 academic year, one year of preparatory English class is obligatory. Since 2011-2012, 30% of the curriculum is given in English.
In our faculty, in the 2001-2002 academic year, the credit education system has been switched to the credit education system as of the 1st grade, and the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) education system since the 2014-2015 academic year. With the credit education system, students were provided with the opportunity to choose more courses, as well as vocational education, social and cultural courses were also provided, and it was aimed to prepare them for life after being a student.Education at the Faculty aims to train students who have more information on certain topics as dictated by the World Veterinary Association and who can use information technologies effectively. During the first four years, students are trained for common obligatory subjects in veterinary medicine, and in the autumn semester of the fifth year, they choose one of the modules on;
- Farm Animal Medicine
- Companion Animal Medicine
- Poultry Medicine
- Food Hygiene and Technology.
The students get theoretical and practical training in their selected modules during the 9th semester. Tenth semester is composed of only practices and the student also has to prepare a graduation thesis and present it.

Specific Admission Requirements
The candidates have to successfully graduate from high school and get sufficient points from the centrally organized Student Selection Examination.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
ECTS credits of elective courses and at least 30 ECTS credits, including supervised study, are required. In the IX. Semester, 13 ECTS credits are required, as well as at least 9 ECTS from their own group and 8 ECTS from other groups, and at least 30 ECTS credits in this semester. In addition to completing credit courses, the student must successfully complete clinical duties, in-house and external internships, seminars and graduation thesis in order to graduate.

Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine; To carry out the obligation of research and service to society at universal standards, to reach information, to produce, apply and disseminate information for animal existence, health, rights and productivity, the quality and safety of animal products, the development of the relationship between human and animal health and environmental safety, which are indispensable elements of humanity and nature. It aims to train patriotic veterinarians who have adopted Atatürk´s principles and revolutions.

Access to Further Studies
Candidates who have successfully completed their education at the master´s level can study in postgraduate doctorate programs provided that they have a valid grade from the ALES exam and have sufficient foreign language knowledge.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Each student must register for classes at the beginning of the term. In order to be able to take the final exam, he / she must have attended at least 70% of the theoretical courses and at least 80% of the practices. In courses with 2 ECTS credits and above, they are subjected to a short news exam, midterm and final exam. There is no requirement for an exam with short notice for 1 ECTS credit courses. The contribution of midterm or midterm exams and quiz exams to the success grade is 40% in total and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. There is a requirement to get at least 55 points from the final exam. Students who get AA, BA, BB, CB and CC letter grades from a course are considered successful from that course. DC and DD grades are conditionally successful grades.

Graduation Requirements
Total graduation ECTS credits must be 300 to successfully complete the program. His GANO must be at least 2.0 out of 4.00, he must successfully complete his internship, internship training and graduation thesis.
