General Description
Bursa Uludag University, Institute of Natural Sciences began educational activities in 1982 and up to date, over 250 students graduated from Textile Engineering Department.
Students who successfully complete this program are entitled to receive a Master´s degree in Textile Engineering.

Specific Admission Requirements
Candidates must have a bachelor´s degree from the relevant department. Application to the master´s program depends on the compatibility of the bachelor´s diploma and the master´s program. Candidates must have the required score from the graduate entrance exam (ALES) determined by the Bursa Uludag University Senate. Foreign language score is not required.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
The graduation requirement for the students in the Textile Engineering Master’s Program consists of a total of at least 120 ECTS credits, including core and elective courses, a seminar, and a thesis study. Students who have at least 70 weighted GPA out of 100, complete their seminar successfully, and defend their thesis in a field related to their subject in front of an elected jury successfully, graduate with a Master of Science degree in Textile Engineering.

Profile of The Programme
The aim of the master´s program is the training of expert textile engineers required by the textile industry.
The mission of the Textile Engineering Department is to train expert textile engineers who have gained experience in experimental research and methods, equipped with the ability and knowledge to participate in current discussions, have the knowledge of Textile Engineering at a level that can contribute to the textile industry and science in our country and in the world, and have the ability to add diversity and depth to experimental approaches.
The vision of the Textile Engineering Department is "to be a leading education and research institution among similar institutions that trains qualified personnel with international education, produces knowledge by doing research, and offers its knowledge to the service of industry and science".

Major fields of study of graduates of the department can be listed as: manufacturing sector, consulting companies, company representatives, various public institutions, and universities.

Access to Further Studies
Candidates who have successfully completed the Masters program with appropriate GPA can enter the Doctoral programs after getting adequate points from ALES (Graduate Entrance Examination) and from one of the approved Language Proficiency Examinations.

Bursa Uludag University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Textile Engineering continues undergraduate and graduate studies with a staff of 18 professors, 5 associate professors, 2 assistant professors, 1 lecturer, 5 research assistants, and 1 technical staff. Our department which is located at the Görükle campus of the university, continues its activity at the faculty of engineering building in which there are classrooms and offices and also there are offices at the textile engineering laboratory building. At the textile engineering laboratory building, offices belonging to the research assistants, Fiber, Textile Chemistry, Physical Analysis, Chemical Analysis, Spinning Technology, Weaving Technology, Knitting Technology, Finishing Technology and Clothing Technology laboratories which includes equipment, instruments and software, are available.
