Veterinary-Genetics Master's Program with Thesis
General Description
Uludag University Institute of Health Sciences, Veterinary Genetics Master´s program was opened in 2020.
Those who successfully complete the Veterinary Genetics Master´s program are awarded the title of "Master" (MSc) in the field of Veterinary Genetics.

Specific Admission Requirements
Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Engineering (Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Bioengineering), Faculty of Arts and Sciences (Molecular Biology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biology Departments), Faculty of Health Sciences (Bioengineering), Faculty of Agriculture, It is required to be a graduate of the Faculty of Education (Biology and Science Teaching).
In order for a student to apply for a master´s program with thesis; It is required to have a Bachelor´s degree in the field (s) specified in the advertisement and to have an ALES base score determined by the Senate in the type of numerical score for Health Sciences. Foreign language is English; Must meet the base score to be determined by the Senate and the foreign language base score requirement (if any) from the exams accepted by ÜDS, KPDS, TOEFL or YÖK or from the foreign language exam held by Uludağ University School of Foreign Languages For this year, candidates must have at least 55 ALES score, 50 ÜDS / KPDS / UÜDS / TOEFL IBT, 130 TOFEL CBT, 450 TOFEL PBT score or an equivalent Foreign Language Score. Foreign candidates are required to obtain a Turkish proficiency certificate issued by TÖMER and the relevant ALES examination result or an examination result certificate from any of the GRE, GMAT and similar exams accepted internationally by YÖK. Foreign Students; Tomer document that they know Turkish (excluding those studying in Turkey), Foreign Language Ratings counterpart of these points from a test accepted by the Equivalence of Higher Education must provide documentation that gets a point. Assessment criteria: 50% of the ALES score, 15% of the Foreign Language Score, 15% of the undergraduate diploma grade average and 20% of the interview grade, and the General Success Grade is calculated. Candidates with a general grade of less than 60 points are considered unsuccessful.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Proficiency exam is not applied in Veterinary Genetics Postgraduate education.

Profile of The Programme
This proposed master program enables students who graduate from undergraduate and graduate programs such as veterinary, biology, molecular biology and genetics, chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, engineering to become qualified researchers by increasing their knowledge, manners and experience in the field of genetics.

Access to Further Studies
Those who successfully complete the master´s degree can apply to the doctorate program, provided that they have a GPA, ALES and foreign language score deemed appropriate by the senate and our department.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
The relevant article of the Postgraduate Education Regulation is applied with the decision of the BUU Senate.

Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate with a Veterinary Genetics Master´s degree; Students are required to successfully complete the program with at least 7 common and field compulsory courses, seminar course, field of specialization course and thesis study, provided that it is not less than 120 ECTS credits. In order for students to be considered successful, they must get at least 70 (CC) points out of 100 from the exam of each course. At the end of the thesis period, students who successfully defend their thesis prepared in the relevant field in front of a selected jury are considered sufficient.

In the department, 1 professor, 2 associate professors, 1 Dr. Lecturer There are 4 faculty members including members. Veterinary Genetics Laboratory has a suitable infrastructure to use genetic study techniques. The department has the necessary equipment for all studies except the sequence.
