19 Objective of the Course: Discerning the process of sectarian separation in Christianity, and major sects; Analyzing beliefs and practices of various sects; thus, interpreting separation in religions as a universal fact.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 The student apprehends the idea of separation in religions;
2 He grasps that separation is not caused by theological, but socio-political causes.;
3 He classifies separations as orthodox and heretical.;
4 He interprets the process of separation as exemplified in Christianity; he makes comparisons intra sects.;
5 He discerns basic beliefs and practices of Christian sects.;
6 He can explain that religious attachment may be caused by a sense of belonging or other motivations.;
7 He can objectively analyze basic beliefs and practices of various sects, using scientific research methods.;
8 He can generalize his analysis of Christianity to other religions in a holistic approach.;
