19 Objective of the Course: To look for some answer questions on scientific knowledge and sciene such as: Is it possible to make sociological analysis of science and scientific knowledge? What are the social bases of scientific knowledge? To discuss with students on science as an institution; science as fact and theory; science as practice.

1 Understand the basic concepts of the field;
2 Have information about examples and applications of field in Turkey;
3 Understand relationships between the field and other disciplines of sociology and recognise revelance to social proccesses;
4 To acquire analyzation ability to experienced social processes;
5 To acquire the ability to follow main debates in field and to compare with other examples in the world ;
