It aims to provide students with the knowledge on the political principles of modernism, modern institutions such as nation-state and concepts like national identity, liberal democracy and the legitimacy crisis of liberal democracy. Besides, it intends to show that as an alternative dialogical democracy theories offer to eliminate this crisis.
