19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course is to enlighten theoretical issues of industrial organization and to develop abilities of analytical thinking related to market functioning.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to evaluate impacts of market structures and firm conducts on the efficiency.;
2 To be able to evaluate industrialization process with socio-economic dynamics. ;
3 To be able to comprehend concepts of game theory, and analyze the relationships between economic agents in the frame of game theory.;
4 To be able to evaluate the role of competition on technological improvements, productivity, and consumer and producer welfare. ;
5 To be able to evaluate market merger and monopolization tendency, and regulations to prevent distortions of competition.;
6 To be able to evaluate the role of legal regulation and law enforcement on the functioning of the market.;
7 To be able to grasp the concepts of positive and negative externalities and propose solutions to eliminate the negative externalities.;
8 To be able to evaluate arrangements and applications related to competition law in Turkey.;
