19 Objective of the Course: In this course, acquiring knowledge of students about Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and European Security and Defence Policy (ESDP) of European Union (EU) via contributing other courses which was taken or will be taken courses about EU during post-graduate education by students spesificly. In this context, historical development of organization process in the World and Europe will be explained in consideration of periods to constitute theorical substructure primarily via exclipating some concepts such as threat, risk, security perception,..etc in accordance with integration and sovereignty theories. After explaining theorical and historical backround, legislation about CFSP and ESDP from the beginning of founding European Communities (EC) and European Union (EU) which was constituted with Single European Act (SEA), Treaties of Maastricht, Amsterdam, Nice and Lisbon, will be explicated comparatively. Also, related to content of course, impacts of CFSP and ESDP on process full EU membership of Turkey will be analyzed.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to use concepts such as security, defence, foreign policy, threat, risk and perception of security,…etc appropriately;
2 To be able to construct formations and substructures which students took or will take courses during post-graduate education about EU to contribute properly.;
3 To be able to explicate the Process of constituting CFSP and ESPD in EU comparatively and to be able to determine Turkey-EU Relations in this context;
4 To be able to interpret current issues about CFSP and ESPD via reading sources in Turkish and Foreign literature.;
