19 Objective of the Course: This course aims to teach basic subjects of logic and to use them in Islamic disciplines.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Skill of getting knowledge in sources of traditional logic in Islamic World and researh methods are obtained.;
2 Student is informed about history of logic briefly.;
3 The teaching of concepts based on five univarsals in traditional logic is comprehended and student can show various examples related to them.;
4 The theory of definition is comprehended and student can produce new definitions by using it.;
5 Relations among propositions are comprehended;
6 Student learns formal syllogisms and their types. He can form new syllogisms. ;
7 Informal syllogisms are learnt.;
8 The basics of symbolic logic are cemprehended. The method of truth-tables is learnt. ;
9 Symbolizations of simple religious arguments and their control are learnt.;
10 Student is informed about the using methods of logic in Islamic Law, al-Kalam (theology) and philosophy.;
