19 Objective of the Course: Students have the knowledge about the general structure of contemporary Islamic thought and the ideas of Muslim thinkers of this period; have the ability to offer the solutions to the problems of modern times.

10 Muhammad Arkoun and historicism.
11 Hasan Hanafi and renewalism.
