19 Objective of the Course: To recognize contemporary problems in Islamic law and opine about their solution
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Field knowledge acquisition
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To acknowledge the basic information about the contemporary problems in Islamic law, concepts and convictions for these problems;
2 To comprehend the methods to be followed in solving the contemporary problems in Islamic law;
3 To recognize the historical development of ijtihad as a contemporary theoretical problem in Islamic law and use it as a method of problem solving;
4 To opine about solving methods of theoretical problems in Islamic law like qiyas (analogy), taqlid(imitation), talfiq and affiliation with a madhhab (school) of fiqh;
5 To benefit from the sources of fiqh by analysing the rules of the theoretical and practical problems in the sources;
6 To explain the problems in terms of their importance in Islamic civilization by recognising their sources;
7 To opine about the principles required for the establishment of regular and stable economic relations by recognising problems of economic life;
8 To identify the relationship between the development process of medical science and technology and contemporary problems in Islamic law;
9 To learn how to approach controversial religious problems and research methods and tecniques about them;
10 To investigate the ways of meeting society and individuals with the religious values in right way and explain the role of religion in providing social order;

1 The methods used for the solution of problems of fiqh
2 Theoretical problems: Opening the gates of independent interpretatiom (ijtihad), fragmentation of ijtihad, extinction of the times
3 Qiyas (analogy)-taqlid, talfiq, tne necessity of affiliation with a madhhab (school) of fiqh
4 Interest-riba relationship
5 Methods of funding and activities of participation banks
6 Inflation and relationship with the prohibition of interest
7 Insurance
8 Exchange
9 Factoring-barter
10 Organ and tissue transplantation
