19 Objective of the Course: To teach the alphabet, phonetic and morphology of Azerbaijani Turkish of Turkic languages, to introduce Azerbaijani literature, to reinforce the knowledge about this language by reading the texts of Azerbaijani Turkish on the basis of Cyrillic and Latin alphabet

1 Understands the place of the Azerbaijani language in Turkish ;
2 Learn the alphabets used by Azerbaijan Turks.;
3 To read and evaluate the literary products of Azerbaijani people.;
4 Getting to know Azerbaijan.;
5 To know the place of Azerbaijani literature among world literatures.;
22 Course Content:

1 Azerbaijan name, geography, history in general.
2 The place and development of the Azerbaijani language in Turkish languages.
3 Alphabets used throughout history in Azerbaijan.
4 Reading the Cyrillic alphabet and sample texts with Cyrillic letters.
5 Azerbaijani literature from the beginning to the end of the 18th century
6 19th century Azerbaijani literature and modernization movements.
7 The birth and development of theater in Azerbaijan; printing movements.
8 20th century Azerbaijani literature.
9 Phonetics of Azerbaijani Turkish, similarities and differences with Turkish.
10 Morphology of Azerbaijani Turkish, similarities and differences with Turkish.
11 Reading texts in Latin letters considering grammar issues.
12 Reading Cyrillic texts considering grammar issues.
13 Studying Prose and Poetry Parts.
14 Soviet-era Azerbaijani literature.
