19 | Objective of the Course: | To put in the light of the results of the old and modern researches, that the Qur’an is an eternal miracle which is based on the fact that it is a literary miracle with references to how the Qur’an used the language in a miraculous way while establishing a universal religious system with its theoretical and practical dimensions for the human being considering his physical and spiritual bodies. Also to show how the Qur’an built magical relations between the “word” as the physical body of the language and the “meaning” as the spiritual body of the language. By doing this we will re-evaluate the classical Islamic knowledge and findings by modern methods and technics, selecting passages from mainly the linguistic tafsirs and relevant examples from other tafsirs on a lingustic ground that meets the science of Balagha as a classical linguistic science and the science of Semantics as a sub-branch of modern linguistics with the vertical (historical) and horizontal (descriptional) methods. |
