Objective of the Course:
To evaluate main school of thoughts effecting historiography from the 19th century until today and criticism to word them and evaluation of those criticisms.

Learning Outcomes:
1
To be able to grasp the new line of historiography on a global basis.;

To be able to evaluate the main schools in historiography and the Works of their representatives.;

To be able to exemplify the effects of ideology and worldview upon historical writings.;

To be able to grasp the main points of criticism directed to historiography by other social scientists.;
5
To be able to explain the main points of difference between American and European historiography.;
6
To be able to evaluate the representations of main historical thoughts in Turkey.;

To be able to compare Works of history produced in Turkey with the Works of history produced in countries other than Turkey in terms of subject, method and approach.;

To be able to exemplify how the computer technology can be utilized in historical investigation.;
