Objective of the Course:
To provide the students with information and awareness about the research and publishing, to provide the necessary methodological information to enable them to have independent research skills on the field, and train the students for preparing research proposals approvable from the points of view of research ethics

Learning Outcomes:
1
being able to define the concepts about ethics of research and publication, and know the ethical responsibilities of the researchers.;
2
knowing the working principles of IRBs, and knows how to prepare research proposals for being sent to IRBs.;
3
being aware of the importance of using reliable and valid measurement tools in scientific research, and teaching them how to test the reliability and validity of measurement tools.;
4
being able to differentiate empirical researches in different types from the methodological point of view, to know the superiority and weaknesses of different research types.;
5
knowing what the important building blocks of the scientific research process are (i.e.; theory, research model, research question and hypothesis), and being able to ask research questions and establish hypotheses that are testable with scientific methods.;
6
knowing the sampling techniques and being able todecide how to create a sample that is appropriate for an empirical research.;
7
Knowing APA citation and formatting rules, able to use them in one’s own research reports.;
