General Description

Brief History
Established in 2025, the Automotive Body and Surface Treatment Program is a comprehensive educational program aimed at training qualified technicians specialized in the production, maintenance, and renewal of vehicle bodies in the automotive industry.
Today, the automotive industry demands high standards not only in production but also in vehicle safety, aesthetic appearance, and durability. Through the use of modern technologies and hands-on training, this program prepares experts capable of meeting these standards.

Specific Admission Requirements
Applicants are required to hold a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification and to have obtained a sufficient score on the Higher Education Entrance Examination (YGS).

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
To obtain an associate degree in the field of Automotive Body and Surface Technologies, students must successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses in the program, corresponding to a total of 120 ECTS credits, and achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.0 on a 4.00 scale.

Profile of The Programme
This program aims to encompass all practical and theoretical aspects of the field and to equip students with the necessary skills in all areas of Automotive Body and Surface Processing Technologies, along with proficiency in computer technology and the English language. It prepares students to conduct scientific research and to contribute to scientific knowledge and technology that meet the needs of society and industry.

Access to Further Studies
Students who successfully complete the associate degree program may take the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) and, based on their success and scores, may transfer to undergraduate programs determined by the Higher Education Council (YÖK) and the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) in accordance with the relevant

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Students are required to take at least one midterm examination and one end-of-semester examination for each course. The percentage contribution of assessment components such as midterm exams, assignments, laboratory exams, and quizzes to the final grade is determined by the instructor of the course. The contribution of the end-of-semester examination to the final grade is set at 60%. All examinations are evaluated on a 100-point scale. To successfully pass a course, a student must obtain a minimum score of 50 on the end-of-semester examination and achieve a Raw Success Weighted Grade (HBAN) of at least 50.

Graduation Requirements
Students who successfully complete all courses and the internship program comprising 120 ECTS credits in accordance with the “Uludağ University Associate and Undergraduate Education Regulations” and the “Uludağ University Vocational Schools Internship Directive” are awarded an associate degree upon graduation from this program.
