Brief History
The Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation was established in 2025 within the Faculty of Health Sciences of Bursa Uludağ University and accepted its first students in the spring semester of 2024-2025.

Qualification Awarded
Upon successful completion of a total of 120 ECTS courses within the scope of the course curriculum, a "SCIENCE EXPERT" degree in the field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation is obtained.

Specific Admission Requirements
Bachelor´s degree: A bachelor´s degree in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation or an equivalent program is required for the program´s graduate quota. Bachelor´s degree grade point average: A minimum of 2.25 on a 4-point scale and a minimum of 59.16 on a 100-point scale. ALES or equivalent score must be obtained from exams recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Foreign Language Exam: A minimum score of 55 or equivalent on foreign language exams defined by YÖK.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Students who are successful in the thesis exam are entitled to receive a Master´s degree by completing a course load of at least 120 ECTS (including thesis) and all assessment and evaluation requirements.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
They can work as specialist physiotherapists, clinical coordinators, or rehabilitation consultants in public and private hospitals. They can pursue academic careers as research assistants, lecturers, or doctoral students at universities. They can contribute to the development of evidence-based practices in the field of physiotherapy by participating in scientific research. They are likely to participate in research projects under programs such as TÜBİTAK, YÖK, and Erasmus+. They can plan exercise programs for the elderly or those with chronic diseases in wellness centers run by municipalities or public institutions.

Access to Further Studies
Specialist Physiotherapists who have completed their master´s degree can apply for the doctoral program.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Different types of exams are administered: midterm exam, Quiz or homework assignment, Mid-term project or presentation, Final exam, Thesis follow-up exam, and thesis defense.
