Brief History
Research, education and practice with an interdisciplinary approach in order to reveal the social, economic, political, legal and cultural dimensions of population mobility by following national and international research in different disciplines in the field of migration, to support the development and implementation of migration policies, and to create new research areas in the field of migration.

Specific Admission Requirements
Candidates whose success score is calculated by taking 50% of the ALES standard score, 30% of the written and interview (oral) score and 20% of the candidate´s undergraduate grade point average for graduate education (ALES) is 65 or more out of 100, are considered successful.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Profile of The Programme

Key Learning Outcomes & Classified & Comparative
1. S/he thoroughly knows the claims and frameworks of immigration theories.
2. S/he understands and interprets the relationship of migration theories with theories in various disciplines, and s/he can make interdisciplinary and inter-theoretic connections for a specific subject of study.
3. Using migration theories and eclectic structures, s/he critically analyzes past and present migration processes, makes comments and suggestions about possible future migration processes and their management.
4. S/he can use the conceptual and theoretical knowledge in her academic and professional areas of expertise, and can be employed in the fields of migration management and migration policies.
5. In line with her/his conceptual and theoretical knowledge, s/he can provide consultancy services to studies and projects on migration management and migration policies.
6. S/he can conduct fieldwork, knowing how research methods and techniques are used in migration studies.
7. S/he has competence to work with people with a migrant background and on migration-related issues.
8. S/he presents original and scientific studies in her/his field of study.
9. S/he uses a bias-free language and takes initiative to spread this language in society.
10. S/he carries out out teamwork by taking part in multi-stakeholder projects
11. S/he does not limit the acquisition of knowledge in her fields only to her education life, she has information about the tools to follow the current developments.
12. S/he conducts fieldwork with people from immigrant backgrounds, collects data in a mutually trustworthy relationship considering ethics.
