Brief History
The Clothing Production Technology Program at Orhaneli Vocational School was established in the 2021-2022 academic year and began to education by enrolling students in the 2024-2025 academic year.

Qualification Awarded
A Short Cycle degree in Clothing Production Technology is awarded upon the completion of 120 ECTS credits and the fulfillment of program competencies.

Specific Admission Requirements
Applicants must have graduated from a high school or an equivalent institution. Admission and registration requirements are determined by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in Türkiye.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
To obtain a Short Cycle degree in Clothing Production Technology, students must complete all compulsory and elective courses in the program curriculum (totaling 120 ECTS) and achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 out of 4.00. Additionally, the compulsory 30-day internship must be successfully completed.

Profile of The Programme
The Clothing Production Technology Program aims to train a qualified workforce and increase the number of skilled professionals essential for the continuity of the textile and apparel industry, especially in light of the rapid advancements in technology. The prominence of Bursa in Turkey´s textile and apparel exports, and its global recognition as a textile hub, underscores the significance of this program.
Designed to meet the evolving standards and expectations of the textile and apparel industry, the program equips students with advanced professional knowledge and skills. Graduates are prepared to easily adapt to business life and technological developments, understand business structures, monitor workflow, solve problems, and take proactive measures. The program also focuses on training professionals who can operate industry-specific machinery, equipment, and software, design and analyze clothing models, prepare and produce patterns, and effectively manage resources by calculating costs.
Students´ academic development is supported through a combination of theoretical and technical courses, hands-on workshops, workplace training, research projects, planned technical visits to businesses, seminars, exhibitions, fashion shows, and a compulsory 30-day internship.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduates can work as clothing production technicians in textile and apparel companies. They have opportunities in various departments, including planning, design, cutting, pattern-making, production, quality control, marketing, and product research and development within companies that produce women´s, men´s, and children´s underwear and outerwear. Additionally, they can find employment in textile manufacturing companies, textile and apparel export firms, public institutions and organizations within the apparel industry, as well as in roles such as modelist and stylist in fashion houses, design and production offices, and workshops established through their own initiatives.

Access to Further Studies
Candidates who have successfully completed their short cycle education can apply to the relevant departments of the Open Education Faculty, where they are given the right to transfer without an exam, or provided that they receive a valid score from the Vertical Transfer Exam conducted by the ÖSYM, Fashion Clothing Design, Fashion Design, Fashion and Textile Design, Textile, Textile Engineering, Textile Design, Textile and Fashion Design they can study by applying to undergraduate programs.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Each student has to register to the courses at the beginning of the term and have to take minimum 70% percent attendance for the courses and 80% attendance for the practices in order to enter to the final examination. Minimum one mid-term examination and a final examination is required for each course. The course grade’s 40% percent is consist by the mid-term grade and 60% percent is consists by final examination. Mid-term grade may be evaluated by various measurable tools such as grades taken from semester work, project, quiz. All of the examination are evaluated over 100 points. At least 50 points have to be taken from the final examination. Students who has taken AA, BA, BB, CB and CC grades from course is accepted successful. DC and DD grades are conditional successful grades. To be successful for the course which DC and DD grades are taken is, have a minimum 2.00 cumulative grade point average (CGPA) out of 4.00.

Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from the program, all of the compulsory and elective courses (total 120 ECTS) have to be fulfilled, minimum 2.00 cumulative grade point average (CGPA) out of 4.00, must be provided and compulsory internship (30 working days) have to be completed.

Facilities
The Clothing Production Technology Program is staffed by three lecturers. Both theoretical and practical training are conducted in facilities such as the clothing workshop, drawing workshop, computer laboratory with internet access, conference hall, and technologically equipped classrooms (featuring projectors and internet access).
