Spiritual Counseling and Guidance Interdisciplinary Graduate Program
General Description
The department, which takes its first students in the fall semester of the 2020-2021 Academic Year, provides education at the graduate level.
The field is dependent on second rank degree which has 120 ECTS system for the department of the Spiritual Counseling and Guidance. If the program is completed successfully and the program qualifications are provided, the Spiritual Counseling and Guidance postgraduate degree is gained.

Specific Admission Requirements
1- Bachelor’s degree
2- To receive required score on the Selection Examination for Academic Personnel and Graduate Studies (ALES). (ALES scores are valid for five years. Minimum ALES score of 55 –verbal-). For international students, ALES and international exams (GRE, GMAT etc.) score reports are valid, and there is no required score.
3- International students are required to have a certificate indicating Turkish language proficiency.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Having satisfactorily completed a minimum of 24 credits and a minimum GPA of 70, and defending his/her dissertation in the presence of an examining committee, student is awarded the degree of Master of Arts in the department of Spiritual Counseling and Guidance.

Profile of The Programme
The aim of the Spiritual Counseling and Guidance postgraduate program is to educate researchers who can produce knowledge about relevant fields, can share this knowledge in national and international area and who have critical thinking ability and to prepare students who success in postgraduate programme to doctorate programme.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduates, awarded the degree of MA in the department of Spiritual Counseling and Guidance are able to perform their jobs more professionally and they can assigned as research assistant or lecturer in the faculties of Science and Literature, Education, Human Sciences and especially in the faculties of theology.
The main employment areas of this program are religious education activities carried out in hospitals, child services and prisons under the auspices of the Presidency of Religious Affairs.

Access to Further Studies
Candidates who completed under graduate programme successfully can study in the Spiritual Counseling and Guidance postgraduate programme under the condition that complete application and interview steps.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Every student has to attend %70 of lessons to check in at the programme in the beginning of term and to attend final exam. Students have to attend at least 1 final exam for every lessons. Every exam is assessed in 100 point scale. Students who get AA, BA, BB, and CB marks quiz out of the lesson.

Graduation Requirements
Graduation requirements are to pass all courses in the programme (equivalent 120 ECTS) and to complete the dissertation.
