Brief History
Department of Participation Banking within the body of Bursa Uludag University Social Sciences Institute started doctoral program in 2019.

Qualification Awarded
The Department of Participation Banking is subject to between 180 and 240 ECTS credits for PhD degree in Participation Banking. After the program is completed succesfully and programs qualifications are met, PhD is taken in the field of Participation Banking.

Specific Admission Requirements
1- Masters degree 2- Candidates must get sufficient score from Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES). Candidates must take at least 55 points from ALES. For foreign students, Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam and other international exams result such as GRE, GMAT etc. are accepted and grade is not required. 3- Candidates must have sufficient language skills(at least 55 points from UÜDS, KPDS, ÜDS or at least 55 points from TOEFL IBT or at least 134 points from TOEFL CBT or at least 453 points from TOEFL PBT and other alternative exams. Foreign students (except those who have study in Turkey) must have at leat 55 points from any of English, French, German or Arabic language exams and must take Turkish language certificate from TÖMER - ALES 50% + GRADUATE SUCCESS AVARAGE 10% + MASTER SUCCESS AVARAGE 10% + EXAM/INTERVIEW 30% To take a masters degree, Candidates points are calculated as can be seen in the equation above. After this calculation, Candidates are ranked starting with the highest score, they are taken according to the quota.(Minimum score of 70 must be obtained for a passing grade). For foreign studens: - MASTER SUCCESS AVARAGE 50% + FOREIGN LANGUAGE 50% = After this calculation, Candidates are ranked starting with the highest score, they are taken according to the quota.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
To take a PH.D., it is required that courses at least 24 or most 30 credits (24 credits in Ph.D. in thesis) must be taken and must be completed succesfully. Additionally it is required that graduation average must be at least 75 out of 100 and Ph.D. thesis must be successfully submitted and approved by a jury.

Ph.D. in Participation Banking aims to provide a formation of universal norms in the field of theoretical participation banking system.

Key Learning Outcomes
1. Being able to use and evaluate the expert level knowledge on participitation banking that are required in experts and researchers who are much needed by the public and private sectors.
2. Being able to improve and broaden the advanced level of contemporary knowledge in the field of paticipitation banking to an expert level through a unique vision and research practice and to come up with peculiar definitions that will break new grounds in science.
3. Being able to research, critically analyze and evaluate an original topic in the field of participitation banking
4. Being able to present current developments and own studies concerning the field of participitation banking in oral, written and visual forms to those groups within and outside the world of economics.
5. Being able to use a foreign language, both written and verbal, and to make use of the foreign literature in the field of participitation banking.
6. Being able to advocate own original ideas, to discuss and communicate effectively with expert people in the field of participitation banking.
7. Being able to use the information and communication technologies at an advanced level together with different software as required by the field of participitation banking.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
The Program provides students who will work in public and private participation banks opportunity to specialize in technical expertise in participation banking.

Access to Further Studies
This programme is at the top level of the National Qualifications Framework for Higher Education in Turkey. Hence, access to any upper level of study is not possible. They have opportunity to engage in research as a postdoc researcher.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Each graduate student should register to courses in the beginning of a period and should have attended to at least %70 of the classes. Students enter at least 1 final exam for each course. All exams are evaluated on the 100 points basis.It is obligatory to acquire 75 points to be deemed succesful in a course. A student achieves success from a course if he/she got any of the grade points AA, BA, BB, CB or CC.

Graduation Requirements
Terms of graduation include success in the courses (180-240 ECTS) , succes in the proficiency exam and occupational training courses, publishing an article in a refereed journal and successfully submitting a thesis.

Facilities
The Program provides education in Turkish. There is a library, a reading room and a computer lab available to students. Lessons are taught verbally and practically in projected classrooms in accordance with the content of the lesson.
