General Description

Brief History
With its distinguished faculty staff, the program aims to provide students who want to develop themselves in the field of classroom education and the teaching profession or to become researchers in the academic field with a scientific understanding, and to acquire professional knowledge, skills and competencies.

Qualification Awarded
Students who meet the conditions specified in the qualification Requirements and Rules section will have a Doctorate degree in classroom education.

Specific Admission Requirements
a) Having graduated from the Classroom Teaching / Education undergraduate program. b) To have a master´s degree in Classroom Teaching / Classroom Education. c) To have the score stated in the advertisement from the Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES). d) To provide the foreign language proficiency requirement specified in the advertisement.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
a) Students who are accepted to the doctorate program with a master´s degree with thesis must be successful at least 240 ECTS in order to graduate. This credit load must be at least eight courses and seminars during the course, provided that it is not less than 60 ECTS for an academic year; The remaining load must be provided from the seminar, proficiency exam and thesis work after the course phase. b) Graduation requirement for students in the integrated doctorate program consists of a total of at least 300 ECTS credits, including at least fourteen courses, seminars, proficiency exam and thesis work. c) In order for the student to graduate, it is also required to fulfill the publication or scientific activity requirement determined by the decision of the Senate

Those who graduate from the doctorate program can be employed as teachers, consultants in public and private institutions and organizations and as lecturers in higher education institutions.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
a) Each student is required to attend at least 70% of the theoretical courses and at least 80% of the practices in order to register for the courses at the beginning of the term and to enter the final exam. Students who do not meet this requirement are not taken to the exam and the student is given the grade "Absentee" (D). b) There are two types of compulsory exams: final exam and make-up exam for students who fail the final exam. However, if the relevant faculty member wishes, he / she can take a midterm exam or make a quiz, project or homework work. c) Final exam of a course; It is held at the end of the semester in which the course is completed. Exam format (written, written-oral or applied) is determined by the responsible faculty member. The effect rate of the final exam must be at least 60%. The effect rate of make-up and final exams should be equal. d) Success in a course is determined by the course success grade. Course success grade is determined by the final exam. In order for a student to be successful in a course, he / she must get at least 75 (CB) in the doctorate as a success grade from that course.

Graduation Requirements
Having succeeded in compulsory and elective courses, seminar course, proficiency exam, thesis proposal, specialization course and thesis work, getting a letter grade of at least CB (75) or above from all the courses taken, and the thesis proposal prepared for the subject and the graduation thesis selected must defend successfully before a jury.
