Brief History
Our department was established at the beginning of 1974, when the Bursa Faculty of Medicine was opened and started education in Bursa, depending on the Istanbul University. In our department, which has started to provide graduate education since its establishment, 8 people have successfully completed their education and graduated with the title of Ph.D. in Pharmacology.

Specific Admission Requirements
Those who have graduated from the faculties related to Health Sciences with a master´s degree or have completed a master´s degree in Medical Pharmacology. -To have the ALES base score determined by the Senate in the type of numerical score from the applicants with a Master´s degree. - One of the ALES or TUS documents is requested from the graduates of the Faculty of Medicine. Applicants with TUS score must have obtained at least 50 basic medical scores. Candidates who have completed their residency training are not required to enter ALES or TUS. - To have obtained the base score determined by the Senate from the exams accepted by ÜDS, KPDS, TOEFL or YÖK or from the foreign language exam held by Uludağ University School of Foreign Languages. - Turkish proficiency and ALES result certificate issued by TÖMER or exam result certificate from GRE, GMAT and similar exams accepted as internationally equivalent by YÖK for foreign candidates.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
-A minimum of 8 courses, less than 24 credits and not more than 30 credits, one seminar each in the course and thesis stage, successful qualification exam, thesis proposal, thesis study, successful thesis exam and published in international indexed journals. -To be successful in compulsory and elective courses, it is necessary to get at least 75 out of 100. The maximum duration of the education is 12 semesters in total. -Total ECTS credits is 240.

Profile of The Programme
The aim of the program is to assimilate the science of Medical Pharmacology at a level that can contribute to the universal science, to use his knowledge and skills in the pharmaceutical industry, to integrate his knowledge with knowledge from different disciplines to create new knowledge, to use appropriate research methods to solve a scientific problem, to have a culture of scientific thought and ethical values. to raise individuals who have
A consultant faculty member is appointed by the Department to advise students participating in the doctoral program during the course and thesis stages. The student makes course selections under the supervision of his / her advisor. Students who successfully complete their lectures and seminars take the qualification exam. A thesis monitoring committee is established for the student who passes this exam successfully, and the student presents his / her thesis project to this committee. Students whose projects are accepted can start their thesis work.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Those who have completed their doctorate education have the opportunity to find employment in pharmaceutical companies, contracted research institutions, in the fields of drug-related licensing and similar fields of the Ministry of Health, and in the positions of drug management in health institutions.

Access to Further Studies
Those who have completed their doctorate can be appointed as lecturers or members of universities when they fulfill the necessary conditions.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Doctoral students are required to attend 70% of theoretical courses and 80% of applied courses. There is no midterm exam for the courses. Students must get at least 75 out of 100 in order to be successful in the final exam held at the end of the term.

Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from the doctorate program, to have successfully delivered all of the courses available in the program, and to present two seminars, one of them in the course and the other in the thesis period,

Facilities
Our department has a total of 6 faculty members, each of whom has international experience and knowledge in their field. All faculty members in the department work full-time, which allows them to actively participate in doctoral education.
In our department, there are laboratories that allow studies in different fields and are equipped with the latest technologies. Hemodynamics, pain and analgesia, psychopharmacology, neuropharmacology and analysis laboratories are the main laboratories where our graduate students can find the opportunity to work.
