Forestery and Forest Products
General Description
Buyukorhan Vocational High School was founded in 2009. Forestry and Forest Products Program is designed to train needed enforcement personnel in forestry sector. The program received its first students in 2010.
This program is subject to short cycle degree system with 120 ECTS credits in Forestry scope of higher education. The students who successfully complete this program will graduate with a degree of competence of Forestry and Forest Products Program.

Specific Admission Requirements
To start this program, prospective students must have a high school diploma and must have enough points in the University Student Selection Examination (OSS).
The students who deserved being placed at the Department of Forestry in Buyukorhan Vocational School of Uludag University in the centralized exams conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (OSYM) in Higer Education Council (YOK) have to make final registration with required documents within the period determined by the Rector. Applications of students who fail to register within the period specified by the Rector will not be considered. University identity cards are given to final registered students.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to graduate of Forestry and Forest Products Program, the students must be successful with a total of 120 ECTS course from the compulsory and elective courses and overall weighted grade point average must be at least 2.00 out of 4.00. The student should have served a compulsory internship.

Profile of The Programme
The purpose of this program is to train technical personal that acquired basic knowledge of the forestry sector, acts in the field of legislation, taking responsibility for solving problems as a team member, equipped with technical matters, knowledge and skills at the ecological, economic and social protection of forest resources and in the sustainable management of forest resources.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduates of this program are employable as Forest Rangers in the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs and its General Directorates or as Forestry Technician in the private sector.

Access to Further Studies
The students who are successful in the vertical transfer examination(DGS) conducted by ÖSYM after short cycle graduation can become undergraduate students at the department of Forest Engineering and Forest Industry Engineering in the Faculties of Forestry.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Students register for classes at the begining of each semester, and for entry to final exams must be continued to be at least 70% for theoretical courses and at least 80% for practical courses). Students are subjected at least one midterm and final exam for each course. At the end of a semester, the final grade of a course consist of 40% of midterm exam grade and 60% of final exam grade. In the scores obtained from homework, laboratory exam and quiz etc can be included to the midterm exam grade. All examinations are assessed by 100-point scale. A student´s final examination point must be at least 50 of the scale. AA, BA, BB, CB and CC are passing grade levels. DC or DD are conditional passing levels. Should a student´s weighted grade point average is 2, she or he deserves being taken into account as successful for courses at DC or DD levels too.

Graduation Requirements
To successfully complete the program, the students must be successful a total of 120 ECTS course from the compulsory and elective courses and overall weighted grade point average must be at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and must successfully complete the internship.

Buyukorhan Vocational High School was founded at Büyükorhan County which is located at a distance of 86 km at north-west of Bursa City, in 2009. Buyukorhan Vocational Higer Schools continues education activities at 3-storey building with 1595 m2 closed area. There are two permanent Lecturers, 8 classrooms (each one a capacity of 30 students), 2 computer labs, and an application lab.
