19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course is to introduce students to the concept of constitution and the history of constitutionalism; to enable them to have an idea about the forms of states in relation to constitutions.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 S/he has knowledge about the concept of constitution.;
2 S/he has an idea about the historical process and emergence of constitutions. ;
3 S/he learns about the importance and functions of constitutions in the legal system.;
4 S/he knows the process of making and changing constitutions.;
5 S/he has information about the types of constitution.;
6 S/he has information about the forms of states according to the types of constitution.;
7 S/he understands what constitutions mean for the protection of democracies.;
8 S/he learns the concept of rights; understands the function of constitutions for the protection of human rights.;
9 S/he has an idea about the relationship between freedoms and constitution.;
10 S/he gains awareness towards discussions on the position of constitutions in the international legal system.;
