19	Objective of the Course:	. The students know historical texts dated 18th century. Moreover, they read samples of the simple manuscripts. Especially, the students try to constitute sub-structure for archival documents.

Learning Outcomes:

1 To read 17th century and earlier Ottoman texts.; 2 To understand the importance of the historical documents.; 3 To catch language features used in historical documents.; 4 To gain the ability to detect the important texts for the Ottoman studies.; 5 To improve the capability to identification of the handwriting that used in archives.; 6 To know the usage methods of Ottoman language dictionaries.; 7 To improve the capability of the identification the meanings of the Arabic and the Persian words.; 8 To gain the ability to explain the meaning of the historical texts.;
