19 Objective of the Course: It aims at showing students how Islamic education has evolved since Prophet Muhammad era, which principles and institutions prevailed in this education and which education debates raised in different periods of time. It also helps students gain interpretation ability.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Student will able to acquire knowledge about method and characteristic of education during Prophet Muhammad’s period.;;
2 Student will able to have knowledge about education institutons and level of knowledge during Emevi and Abbasi periods.;;
3 Student will able to comment on the ideas prominent scholars related to level of knowledge and education of Turks during Islamization period.;;
4 Student will able to realize how Seljuqs valued education and what kind of scientific and professonal organizations were built during this period.;;
5 Student will able to comprehend the framework and functioning of education system during Ottoman Empire and debates about education. ;;
6 Student will able to analyze views and comments of some important educators who appeared in Islamic Education History.;;
7 Student will able to comprehend how institutions like Sıbyan Schools, Medrese, Mosque ve Zaviye, Gulamhane, Ahilik ve Bacıyanı Rum have functioned in educational and social life.;;
8 Student will able to comment on educational life and education of values concerning today as a part of the social fabric is significant.;;
9 Student will able to analyze how changes took place in terms of educational history with Tanzimat.;;
10 Student will able to gain the ability to grounding today’s debates on education in consideration to awarness towards history of Islamic education.;;
