19 Objective of the Course: Students acquire how to analyze the classical Islamic theology in terms of politics and society and how to provide suggestions for today.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Know the historical process about the Islamic state.;;
2 Make the comparison between the Islamic understanding of politics and modern politics.;;
3 Can make use of the basic textx in the theological texts in politics.;;
4 Have a perception about civilization in the relationship between politics and society.;;
5 Make sense the relations between religion, society and politics in terms of theology.;;
6 Have an objective outlook on the modern tendencies about the policy-religion relations.;;
7 Gain the ability to understand the relationship between society and individual.;;
8 Apply the scientific methods in this issue;;
9 Have a good command in the Arabic texts.;;
10 Have the opportunity to analyze different outlooks in Muslim societies.;;

1 The state at the time of the Prophet
2 The Formation period of the Islamic instititions.
3 The imamat stances in the first sects and early debates.
4 The imamat opinion of Shia.
5 The concepts, imam, khalifa and amir.
6 The necessity of Imam and the arguments.
7 The election of khalifa.
8 The concept of ijma in Islam and its history
9 The concept of aqd in Islam
10 Ahl al-hall wa aqd, the unity of Muslim societies.
11 The conditions and the duties
12 Jihad in Islam
13 The problem of the obedience to the imam
14 Modern political Islam, definition and stances.
