19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course is to provide students with the knowledge of the city as a major theme of the literature.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Be aware of the contribution of literary genres to the urban studies.;
2 Be aware of literature circles which contributes to the development of literature.;
3 Can classify those are related to city among the literary genres.;
4 Analyze the relation between city and literature.;
5 Realise the definition of some major Ottoman cities in literary genres.;
6 Analyze the selection criteria for “UNESCO City of Literature”;
7 Understand the use of the concept of city in Ashiq (minstrel) literature.;
8 Understand the use of the concept of city in Diwan literature.;
9 Undersatand the symbolic use of the concept of city in Tasawwuf literature.;
10 Understand the way the city handled in today’s literature.;
