19 Objective of the Course: The purpose of the main art printmaking workshop V, which is a supporting course to main art studio courses is awareness of the arts and methods, the power of imagination, invention and composition, along with the ability to establish their future and professionel lives of our students to teach their students and put into practice the techniques of printmaking.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 In the art of printmaking, explanation of technical and artistic terms.;
2 Application of the Printmaking Techniques.;
3 According to the technique of using different tools and materials in printmaking.;
4 To explain the history of pit printmaking technique since begining to today.;
5 Practicing, In pitprinting techniques, dry scratching, acid carving and aquatint.;
6 To learn how to use tools and equipment of dry scrating, acid carving and aquatint techniques.;
7 To practicing the color printing technique with the way of using numerous molds.;
8 To make multi color printing by using numerous molds in pit printing technique.;
22 Course Content:
Week Theoretical Practical
1 Giving information about the artworks that will be make during the semester period. Studying the historical development and contemporary pitprinting artists. Introducing artworks and printing tools. According to the technique of pressure, to begin sketching works.
2 Introducing theoretical knowledge of pitprinting. The dryprinting technique Works will be examined. Sketch continues to form.
3 Sketches will evaluated, transfering on zinc mold technique will be explained. Prepared sketches will transfer to on zinc and using the steel tools scratching process will begin.
4 To explain how proof is process with using dry scratching molds. Proof will be generate and corrections will make.
5 Proof printings will evaluate technically Predetermined number of original prints’s replication will process.
6 Acid carving technique will described technically and the examples will examined. According to the technique, Sketch continues to form.
7 Prepared sketches will transfer into the asphalt covered zinc molds and acid techniques will explanied. Drawing with metal pens will performed.
8 Molds will evaluated technically and acid process will look over. Acid process will perform. Proof print will make.
9 Proof prints will evaluated in technically. Predetermined number of print will begin.
10 Proof prints will evaluated in technically. Predetermined number of print will begin.
11 Aquatint method will explain theoretically. Aquatint application technique will make on dry scratching and acid carving molds. Light and dark values will applied.
12 The sample prints that made with aquatint techniques will shown. Aquatint molds prints will comleted. Colorful cliches will prepared and proof printing will performed.
13 Discusses the multi-color printing methods using a single mold. Multi color printing experiments will make, using a single mold.
14 Color works’s Technique and plastic values will evalueted. From reviewed molds The required number of print will make.
