19 Objective of the Course: Examining the ancient Greek short texts.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to recognize the alphabet and the accent of Ancient Greek;
2 To be able to learn the grammar of the Ancient Greek language ;
3 To be able to separate the inflections of the verb, noun and adjective in Ancient Greek;
4 To be able to recognize the most used words in Ancient Greek;
5 To be able to translate from Ancient Greek to Turkish, Turkish to Ancient Greek ;
22 Course Content:
Week Theoretical Practical
1 V themed third declensions, V themed adjectives and proper noun.
2 Aorist and Futurum Active, Medium tenses’s Indicatives, Infinitives and Participiums, Futurum and Aorist tenses of Contraction verbs.
3 Real conditional clauses, Active Medyo - Passive Praesens at ‘aw’ verbs Imperfectum, Indicative, Imperative, Infinitive and Participium.
4 Irreal conditional clauses, Active Medyo - Passive Praesens at ‘ew’ verbs Imperfectum, Indicative, Imperative, Infinitive and Participium. Genetivus Comparationis
5 Active Medyo - Passive Praesens at ‘ow’ verbs Imperfectum, Indicative, Imperative, Infinitive and Participium. Vowel an semi-vowel themes in third declensions. ‘-u’ themes, ‘-e/-u’ themes. Metathesis of quantity.
6 ‘-e/-i' themes, ‘-h/-eu' themes, “o' themes, “w' themes, Nouns with special conjugations, Genetivus mensurae.
7 Nouns with special conjugations, themes with two adjectives
8 Coniunctivus Praesens, Optativus Praesens, Final subordinate clauses, Temporal subordinate clauses.
9 Praesens Coniuctive at verbs with ‘w', Optative and Imperative, Eventual, Potential conditional clauses, Declarative subordinate clauses.
10 Praesens Coniuctive at verbs with ‘ew' and “ow', Optative and Imperative, Indicative Praesens form of verb ‘be’, Coniuctive with Imperfectum and Futurum, Optative, Imperative, Participium and Infinitive declensions, Verba Timendi.
11 Coniuctivus Aorist Active and Medyum declensions, Futur Optativus Active and Medyum declensions, Optativus Aorist Active and Medyum declensions, interrogative sentences, subjective interpretation.
12 Active Indicative forms of Perfectum and Plusquamperfectum, declensions Infinitive, Participium, Coniunctive and Optative, Praesens Historicum.
13 Medyo - Passive Indicative, Infinitive, Participium, Coniunctive and Optative declensions of Perfectum and Plusquamperfectum.
