19 Objective of the Course: This course provides an introduction to cross-cultural psychology. Cross-cultural psychology offers an opportunity to develop an appreciation of the interplay of individual, ethnic, and cultural contributions to understand human development, group dynamics and many other psychological issues. Within the course, both within culture variability and between culture variability on human behavior are discussed. The objectives of the course include the mastery of the basic theoretical information on cross-cultural psychology issues and cross-cultural research methods. In addition, the course objectives include developing critical thinking skills, and ability to communicate effectively

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to appreciate for the diversity of cultures and how culture influences behavior;
2 To think about one’s own cultural backgrounds and the ways that cultural perspectives relate to one’s own life;
3 To learn the concepts and processes necessary for cross-cultural research;
4 To be able to approach mainstream psychological studies with cultural criticism;
5 To be able to read empirical studies on their favorite cross-cultural psychology topics and to be able to present what they learn about the topic in front of other people;
