19 Objective of the Course: The Bithynia region’s prehistory will be introduced in the light of the scientific excavations and surveys in the Bursa region.

2 To be able to recognize historical geography of Northwest Anatolia ;
3 To be able to understand the archaeological potential of the region ;
4 To be able to recognize the prehistory of region;
5 To be able to understand the effects of Aegean immigrations to the region;
6 To know the political situation of the region after 1st millennium B.C.;
7 To be able to recognize the Mysia and Bithynia regions ;

2 Chronology of Region and historical geography of Northwest Anatolia
3 Neolithic culture in the Region
4 The Neolithic settlements in Northwest Anatolia
5 Prehistoric excavations and surveys in the Region – Fikirtepe Culture
6 Excavations of Ilıpınar Höyük
7 Midterm Exam + The assessment of the scientific results of Ilıpınar Höyük
8 Hocahöyük, Menteşehöyük ve Barçın Höyük Excavations
9 Hocahöyük, Menteşehöyük ve Barçın Höyük Excavations
10 Aktopraklık Höyük Excavations
