19 Objective of the Course: Technological advances and new gadgets are in the center of consumer needs, market and entertainment industry. Digital photography plays a significant role in transition to the digital technology. In this course, it is aimed to bring out and promote creativity within endless opportunities of software and hardware.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to incorporate traditional photography techniques with computer-supported processes.;
2 To be able to produce creative solutions in graphic design and photography.;
3 To be able to use new terminology and information brought by digital technology.;
4 To be able to solve issues encountered in relation to digital technology.;
5 To be able to use and apply gadgets, products, software and hardware brought by new technology within students’ professional field.;
6 To be able to use new equipment, media, new software, and communication tools came with the digital age.;
7 To be able to express abstract ideas, information, emotions, and concepts visually from sketches, outlines to the prints or products.;

22 Course Content:
Week Theoretical Practical
1 Discussion of new oppotunities came with digital phtography that incorporated traditional photography and computer supported processes. Photography examples, and critiques of photographs.
2 Evaluation of digital photography, its importance, contribution and effectiveness in graphic design processes; introduction of software and technical tools used in this field. Basic research through with software used in digital photography.
3 Review of previous Photoshop lessons, including photoshop menus, filters, applications and uses of Adobe Photoshop. Experimentation with the use of Photoshop menus.
4 Review of coloring, shading, clearing, and merging tools on photographs. Using Photoshop tools of shading, coloring, clearing, and merging on photographs, application and practices.
5 Panoramic Photographs; introduction, shooting techniques. Technical information with merging multiple frames (at least 7) through transferring onto computer. Experiments with panoramic photography and technical applications; merging multiple frames (at least 7) through transferring onto computer.
