19 Objective of the Course: To teach the students important philosophical doctrines and thinkers and bring in to them classical knowledge of history of sociology.

1 Enables learning of the birth and development of sociology;
2 Enables learning of the main conceptual framework of the history of sociology;
3 Learning of the ideas of major sociologists in the history of sociology;
4 Develops a fundamental understanding of the relationships between sociology and the other sciences;
5 Engenders a conceptualization of social process in history of sociology ;
6 Develops a comparative perspective between the classical and conremporary sociology;
7 Learning of the fundamantal literature in history of sociology;
8 Enables an in-depth understanding of contemporary sociology with the historical perspective;
