19 Objective of the Course: By the end of this course, students will be able to define professional values and moral codes, describe the justifications of right to health and professional values & codes, and apply them on specific cases.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 - define the basic concepts such as ethics, morality, and deontology - describe the different methods / ways used for determining the moral good ;
2 - analyse an argument ;
3 - define professional values - describe the moral justifications of professional values ;
4 - define the determinants of health - describe the requisites of right to health and patient rights - explain the justifications of right to health and patients rights, and their connections to professional values ;
5 - analyse a case from the viewpoint of medical ethics;
6 - apply professional values and right to health in case studies - find authentic solutions for ethical problems, by referencing / protecting right to health and professional values;
7 - define national and international professional codes - comprehend how to reach related regulations ;
8 - explain the ways of legal actions against physicians allegedly violated codes of professional morality.;
