19 Objective of the Course: Examining the events of the new and Old Testament depicted in works of art, teaching the methods of assessment the relationship between meaning and expression in comparison

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Making the definition of iconography, iconographic assessment of work of art ;
2 Describing significant religious scenes in Mediaeval Byzantine anfd European art ;
3 Knowing and interpreting the events of the Torah and the Bible;
4 Understanding and expressing in depth the examples of painting in the issue of the Old and New Testaments ;
5 Konowing the manner of describing of the events of Old and New Testaments;
6 Distinguishing examples of paintings according their period;
7 Analysing the symbolic expressions of Early, Middle and Late Byzantine paintings ;
8 Evaluating the reflection of religious beliefs and world views on art;
9 Discussing the impact of religious and political institutions on art;
10 Making comparative interpretation;
