19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course is to develop speaking communication abilities of students in French at the level of A2 in Common European Framework of Reference for Languages Criteria (CEFR). Consequently, correct, efficient and fluent communication of students on French with the help of curricular and extracurricular activities like dialogues, songs, movies, PowerPoint slides, TV5, internet etc.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Can understand and use French pronunciation features (intonation, stress, other elements to distinguish the meaning, etc.) correctly.;
2 Can understand a familiar subject about daily life generally when people speak slowly and clearly in standard language.;
3 Can understand simple phrases, expressions and words used in various environments (family, work, shopping, neighborhood, etc.);
4 Can use simple grammatical sentence structure, conjunctions such as “and” “but” “because” and some of the basic sentence structures verbally.;
5 Can mutually communicate in familiar and current subjects (asking the way, giving directions, inviting somebody, ordering food and drink, shopping etc.) by using a simple language.;
6 Can give information about himself/herself, his/her family, living place, near environment, education life, work life, hobbies, activities he or she performed, etc.;
7 Can explain an event shortly and simply.;
8 Can analyze a current familiar subject and summarize it verbally in a short and simple way.;

6 Protecting the environment; Text: “Protéger l’environnement”
7 Harmful effects of smoking; Text: “Espace non-fumeurs”

9 Searching flat house and moving; Text: “Déménager”
10 Asking for directions, giving directions, housework; Text: “s’installer”
11 Shopping (at the market, grocery store and fishmonger, etc.) ; Text: “Faire les courses”
